There is no doubt that MRI has revolutionised our ability to image the vertebral column of our patients. However, much can be achieved without it and this is particularly pertinent for urgent cases where an owner might not be able to afford MRI or be able to travel to a centre with a scanner.
In this CPD session we will look at situations where appropriate management can be achieved without utilising MRI by using good clinical judgement and good radiographic technique. By using such tools we should be able to offer appropriate treatment, and improved outcomes, to more of our patients.
